Honduras
Make a difference to the daily lives of children with special needs in the central highlands of Honduras.
Less than an hour from the capital Tegucigalpa, is the welcoming “El Rancho” clinic and residential care program. Work alongside our American and Honduran clinicians to support children with special needs through therapy. Outside of clinic hours, relax in the quiet buzz of small town life or be charmed by the bustle of the capital’s streets and crumbling colonial buildings. Are you ready for an intrepid adventure in Central America?
Where You Will Serve
Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) means “Our Little Brothers and Sisters” in Spanish.
NPH helps vulnerable children all across Latin America who don’t have access to housing, education, healthcare, or a familial support system.
In Honduras, you will work with NPH to provide therapeutic services to children in need while serving at the expansive main ranch.
During your visit, you will work with kids both at NPH's main campus ("El Rancho") and at their smaller community sites.
Your Living Quarters
Therapy Adventures and NPH will provide all food and ground transportation for the trip.
Our People
Alicia is an SLP and she is our main point of contact at NPH. Originally from Spain, she has lived in Honduras for over 2 years!
Helen is a bilingual Denver-based SLP who is extremely passionate about using her skills as a therapist to provide support in underserved areas. Helen is moving to Honduras in July to work alongside the team.
