Enhance your therapeutic expertise in a multicultural setting, embark on highland adventures, and create lifelong memories in the stunning landscapes of Guatemala.

You will have an amazing opportunity to work alongside licensed clinicians at a child home in Guatemala. Located at Casa San Andrés, this facility supports more than 250 community members from preschool to middle school. You will gain first-hand experience and learn from the dedicated professionals behind the incredible work being done for the most vulnerable.

After the clinic closes, you will visit the stunning Lake Atitlán, sight-see in Antigua, and explore the beautiful mountains, volcanoes, and beaches of Guatemala, providing you with a window into the rich and vibrant culture of the country.

The Clinic

Conduct therapy and educate caregivers within the home serving children with disabilities. Volunteer in training workshops such as baking, cooking, sewing, welding, crafts, and carpentry.

Lodging

During your trip, you will reside alongside volunteers and staff at the Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH) campus. The campus also includes a multipurpose room, library, and computer room. NPH will provide all of your meals and safe transportation for the entirety of the trip.

      Do I need to be licensed/have a degree to be a volunteer?
      We do not require any license, degree, training, or previous experience to be a volunteer. Your tasks at our clinic will be tailored to your comfort level and previous experience. Anyone is welcome to come and learn with us.

      Do I need to speak Spanish?
      You do not need to speak Spanish. For our trips to Spanish-speaking countries, the trip leader will be bilingual and will assist with translation as needed.

      Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
      Yes. We will notify our local partners of any dietary restrictions prior to your arrival.

      Do you have payment plans/financial assistance?
      We aim to make our 1-week volunteer trips as financially accessible as possible. Therapy Adventures International is a non-profit organization and thanks to our generous donors and partners, we have a limited number of scholarships available to help off-set the cost to participate. We also offer flexible payment plans. Ask us for more details.
