Therapy Adventures International (TAI), a nonprofit organization based in Chicago, is expanding its mission to bring pediatric therapies to underserved communities in Latin America by launching two new locations this summer. The new programs will be located in Honduras and Ecuador, two countries where access to pediatric therapy services is limited.
Idar Lamo, Director of International Partnerships at TAI, is excited about the expansion. “Our mission is to provide access to pediatric therapy services to underserved communities in Latin America, and we are thrilled to be expanding our impact to Honduras and Ecuador,” Lamo said. “We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, and we are proud to be working towards that goal.”
The long-term goals for the new programs are to provide speech, occupational, physical, and behavioral therapies to children in need, improving their quality of life and giving them a chance to thrive. With this expansion, TAI hopes to continue building partnerships with local organizations and communities to make pediatric therapy services more accessible across Latin America.
“We are committed to working closely with local communities and organizations to ensure that our programs are tailored to the needs of the children we serve. Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the lives of these children and their families,” Lamo added.
The launch of these two new programs is a significant step towards TAI’s long-term vision of providing pediatric therapy services to all underserved communities in Latin America.
“Our organization is driven by a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families in need. We believe that every child deserves access to the care and support they need to thrive, and we will continue to work tirelessly towards that goal,” Lamo concluded.
The expansion of TAI’s mission to Honduras and Ecuador is a testament to the organization’s dedication to improving access to pediatric therapy services in underserved communities throughout Latin America. With continued growth and community engagement, TAI hopes to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in need.
